How Psychology and Neurology Are Shaping the End-Time Agenda

Written By Dr. Joyce-Nderitu Wanjagi

Introduction: The War on the Mind

The most consequential battlefield of the end times is not merely geopolitical, it is neurological. In an era where empires are built not only by armies but by algorithms, the human mind has emerged as the most contested territory on earth. Psychology and neurology, disciplines originally entrusted with the noble task of healing, restoring, and understanding the human soul, have been weaponized. No longer solely instruments of insight, they are now frequently repurposed for manipulation, social conditioning, and even subtle forms of spiritual enslavement.

As a psychoneurologist, I have witnessed firsthand how mental health frameworks and cognitive technologies are being used, not to liberate the human spirit, but to embed individuals deeper into systems of control, compliance, and deception. Yet amidst this reality, I also want to speak directly to my fellow practitioners: those of you who remain ethically anchored, who resist the temptation to profit from manipulation, and who still see the brain and soul as sacred. Your integrity is not in vain. Your insight is needed more than ever. This work is a call to vigilance, but also to hope, a deep dive into what may be the most underestimated weapon in the global war for human destiny: the mind.

Scripture Anchor: As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Proverbs 23:7

Psychology in Education: The Mind Factory

The Strategy

Modern education, especially in many African nations, is not designed to nurture thinkers but to produce obedient workers. The psychological foundation of most school systems is based on behaviorist models (like Pavlov and Skinner), which train students to respond to rewards, punishment, and repetition. Creativity, emotional intelligence, and spiritual sensitivity are suppressed.

Biblical Insight: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10), yet our schools are divorced from reverence for God.

Effects

  • Students are taught what to think, not how to think.

  • They are measured by standardized systems that do not reflect real-world or Kingdom purposes.

  • A degree becomes a badge of conformity, not a tool for innovation.

  • Africa is left with millions of unemployed graduates who were never trained to create jobs, only to seek them.

Example: A Kenyan engineering graduate can solve calculus equations but has never been trained to build or design a basic machine.

The Call

We must raise Spirit-filled educators and reformers who can:

  • Build indigenous curricula.

  • Train youth in problem-solving, ethics, agriculture, leadership, and purpose.

  • Use education as a revival tool, not just a career path.

Psychology and Technology: Attention Engineering & Digital Control

The Strategy

Technology is not neutral but designed to capture, predict, and program human attention. Tech companies hire attention engineers (many trained in behavioral psychology) to design apps, algorithms, and interfaces that hijack the human brain. These engineers understand dopaminergic feedback loops, neural fatigue, and reward anticipation, all to keep users addicted, docile, and distracted.

Example: The endless scroll feature on social media is based on slot machine psychology, you never know what you'll see next, so you keep scrolling. It's intermittent reward, a core principle in behavioral conditioning.

Neurological Impact

  • Shortened attention spans (inability to focus on Scripture, prayer, or deep thinking).

  • Emotional dysregulation from online comparison and viral outrage.

  • Addiction to screens, likes, and constant validation.

Scripture Anchor: Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10
But we live in a world engineered to keep us from stillness.

The Call

  • Teach the Church about digital boundaries and neuro-hygiene.

  • Raise awareness of algorithmic discipleship, what you see repeatedly online will eventually shape what you believe.

  • Encourage believers to take back control of their minds, using tech wisely, not compulsively.

Psychology in Artificial Intelligence (AI): Predicting & Shaping Minds

The Strategy

AI systems, powered by big data and psychometric profiling, now predict your behavior before you act. They are not just gathering your data, they're shaping your future actions.

Example: Cambridge Analytica used Facebook data to psychologically profile and manipulate voters during elections in the U.S. and parts of Africa.

These systems are being used to:

  • Influence political decisions.

  • Predict consumer behavior.

  • Censor religious or counter-narrative voices.

Psycho-Neuro Issue

  • AI knows your emotional vulnerabilities better than you do.

  • Psychological targeting is no longer general, it is personalized and adaptive.

  • The more you engage, the more you're shaped.

Biblical Warning: The coming of the Antichrist will involve lying wonders and delusions (2 Thessalonians 2:9-11), likely through tech-enabled deception.

Psychology in the Globalist Agenda & Transhumanism

The Strategy

Global movements are pushing for the integration of humans and machines (transhumanism), promising enhancement of cognition, health, and longevity. But beneath this is the ultimate psychological deception: You can be like God.

Example: Elon Musk Neuralink project proposes direct brain-computer interfacing. While some benefits exist, the spiritual and psychological dangers of hacking or programming thoughts are profound.

Why It Matters

  • Control moves from external law to internal code.

  • Human identity is blurred, and God's design is replaced with synthetic upgrades.

  • People will give up autonomy in exchange for convenience and power.

Scripture Anchor: You shall be as gods Genesis 3:5 the same lie repackaged for the digital age.

Psychology in Marketing and Media: Creating the Desires They Sell To You

The Strategy

Marketing is no longer about meeting needs, it is about creating needs and then fulfilling them with products. This is done using psychological triggers:

  • Scarcity (limited-time offers)

  • Authority bias (celebrity endorsements)

  • Social proof (reviews and likes)

Example: Companies sell skin-lightening creams in Africa by subtly equating light skin with success, desirability, and modernity.

Psycho-Neuro Consequences

  • Mass anxiety and insecurity.

  • Constant dissatisfaction (hedonic treadmill).

  • A fractured self-image that is never enough.

Scripture Anchor: Godliness with contentment is great gain. 1 Timothy 6:6

Psychology in Entertainment: Desensitizing the Soul

The Strategy

Music, films, and games are crafted using neurological pacing, frequency manipulation, and emotional arcs to influence behavior. This is not accidental, it's strategic.

Example: Horror films increase adrenaline and fear, but repeated exposure dulls the response. Viewers become numb to violence, sin, and darkness.

Modern music often uses repetitive phrases and low frequencies to bypass the conscious mind and settle into the subconscious.

Spiritual Warning

  • What entertains you, trains you.

  • The subconscious does not distinguish between fiction and reality.

  • Desensitization is a form of slow soul erosion.

Scripture Anchor: Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23

Psychology and Weaponization of Trauma and Collective Memory

The Strategy

Governments, corporations, and movements now use collective trauma as a psychological weapon:

  • Crises (e.g. pandemics, wars) condition populations to accept authoritarian control.

  • Mass events are used to shift values subtly through media framing and repetition.

Example: After global trauma (like COVID), many accepted strict surveillance, restrictions, and even social credit systems as normal.

Neurological Effect

  • Trauma freezes critical thinking.

  • The amygdala overrides the prefrontal cortex.

  • People prioritize safety over freedom, making them highly suggestible.

Psychology in Food and Agriculture: The Appetites of Control

The Strategy

Western systems have psychologically conditioned African populations to:

  • View processed, foreign, and fast food as superior.

  • Disregard traditional diets as primitive.

  • Aspire to Western consumption patterns instead of local sustainability.

Through marketing psychology and media symbolism, food has become a status symbol, not a nourishment.

Example: A child in Africa might feel ashamed to eat millet porridge but proud to eat KFC, even though the millet is healthier and locally available.

Neurological Consequence

Processed food affects brain chemistry, contributing to:

  • Addiction-like behaviors (dopamine loops).

  • Hormonal imbalance.

  • Increased susceptibility to disease, fatigue, and depression.

Scripture Anchor: You are the temple of the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 6:19

The Call

  • Train communities in organic farming, food sovereignty, and biblical stewardship of the land.

  • Promote local agriculture not just as an economy but as a form of spiritual resistance.

  • Reframe food as kingdom nourishment, not consumerism.

Psychology in Religion: Emotionalism vs. Transformation

The Strategy

From colonial times Religion has been one of the most powerful psychological tools because it shapes identity. Many religious systems:

  • Use fear, shame, and guilt to control followers.

  • Overemphasize emotional highs (goosebumps) over long-term renewal of the mind.

  • Condition dependence on a "man of God rather than transformation of the WORD OF GOD and reliance on the  HOLY SPIRIT

  • Example: A believer may attend church all year, but still be emotionally unstable and mentally unrenewed, be full of unbelief due to a lack of transformative discipleship.

Psycho-neuro Danger

  • Faith becomes transactional and performative.

  • No cognitive reformation takes place.

  • People stay in cycles of manipulation, never growing into spiritual maturity.

Scripture Anchor: Be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2

The Call

  • Teach the Church how the mind works.

  • Preach healing from trauma, false beliefs, and religious abuse.

  • Equip saints to experience God through spirit and truth, not just feelings.

Psychology in Health: The Silent Manipulation

The Strategy

Modern psychiatry and psychology, especially in the West, have increasingly pathologized normal human emotions:

  • Sadness becomes depression.

  • Childhood energy becomes ADHD.

  • Trauma is managed with pills, not healed at the root.

Pharmaceutical companies exploit psychological frameworks for profit. Media campaigns normalize dependency on medication while ignoring emotional and spiritual root causes.

Example: In the U.S., over 1 in 4 women are on antidepressants. In urban African centers, this is rapidly increasing.

Neurological Impact

  • Overmedication dulls the mind and blocks spiritual discernment.

  • Emotional intelligence is suppressed.

  • Long-term dependency is created.

Scripture Anchor: Is there no balm in Gilead? Jeremiah 8:22

The Call

  • Promote holistic health: spiritual, emotional, and physical.

  • Encourage counseling, deliverance, prayer, and trauma therapy.

  • Raise Christian psychologists and doctors who know science and the Spirit.

 Psychology in Politics: Manufactured Consent

The Strategy

Political systems use mass psychology to manufacture consent through:

  • Fear tactics.

  • Nationalist propaganda.

  • Hero worship and cult of personality.

In many African countries, the illusion of democracy exists, but it is psychologically engineered through intimidation, media control, and cultural programming.

Example: Politicians leverage tribal loyalty and fear of instability to keep corrupt systems in place.

Psycho-political Tools

  • Suppression of critical journalism.

  • Algorithmic manipulation of public discourse.

  • Emotional triggers like patriotism distract from systemic failure.

Scripture Anchor: Woe to those who call evil good and good evil. Isaiah 5:20

The Call

  • Train Christians in political discipleship and civic engagement.

  • Break fear-based submission with truth-based leadership.

  • Develop alternative media and local governance rooted in justice and transparency.

Psychology in Business: Influence over Integrity

The Strategy

Modern business psychology trains marketers to sell by exploiting:

  • Emotional triggers (FOMO, shame, pride).

  • Identity manipulation (buy this to be someon).

  • Addictive behaviors (scrolling, shopping, impulsive buying).

Example: The rise of influencers who sell lifestyles that are neither real nor healthy.

Neurological Impact

  • Endless dopamine cycles (click, swipe, buy).

  • Anxiety from comparison and consumer debt.

  • Detachment from purpose-driven living.

Scripture Anchor: You cannot serve both God and money. Matthew 6:24

The Call

  • Raise kingdom entrepreneurs who do not exploit but empower.

  • Build ethical businesses based on value, sustainability, and biblical principles.

  • Train believers to break from consumer addiction and walk in contentment.

Psychology in Fashion & Cosmetology: Identity Engineering

The Strategy

Fashion and beauty industries thrive on identity confusion and psychological insecurity. Marketing campaigns manipulate emotions to:

  • Define beauty through ever-changing and unattainable standards.

  • Equate appearance with value and acceptance.

  • Use influencers and celebrity culture to drive trends that reshape personal identity.

Example: The rise of extreme plastic surgery, body contouring, and lightening products is tied directly to media-fueled self-hate and false ideals.

Biblical Anchor: I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:14

Neuropsych Impact

  • Over-reliance on appearance leads to dopamine-based validation.

  • Body dysmorphia and low self-worth increase.

  • People spend emotionally, not rationally, chasing identity instead of purpose.

Psychology in Climate Change Discourse: Fear-Based Compliance

The Strategy

While environmental stewardship is biblical, climate change rhetoric is often used to create fear-driven obedience to globalist control.

  • Media narratives about the apocalypse condition people to accept drastic policies.

  • Children and youth are especially targeted through emotional imagery and curriculum.

  • It's used to justify population control, geoengineering, and food restrictions.

Example: People are conditioned to eat lab-grown meat or insects to save the planet, while ignoring the rich natural resources of their regions.

Biblical Anchor: The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof. Psalm 24:1

Psychological Warfare

  • Shifts from stewardship to panic.

  • Promotes guilt over existence.

  • Leverages psychological trauma (eco-anxiety) to control future behavior.

Psychology in Engineering: Human Optimization & Control Systems

The Strategy

Engineering fields, especially in urban design, infrastructure, and robotics, now use behavioral psychology to:

  • Design cities and transport systems that predict and shape behavior.

  • Create smart environments that track and influence human decision-making (smart cities).

  • Develop military-grade surveillance disguised as a convenience.

Example: In some Chinese cities, facial recognition determines who can ride public transport or access buildings. These are “engineered environments for obedience.

Scripture Anchor: Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Psalm 127:1

Psycho-Neuro Danger

  • People adapt to systems that slowly remove freedom.

  • Decision fatigue is engineered through hyper-choice environments.

  • Critical thought is bypassed through environmental programming.

Psychology in Social Stratification: Division Through Perception

The Strategy

Social hierarchies are maintained using subtle psychological tools:

  • Class systems are reinforced through branding, accent, and appearance.

  • Racial divisions heightened through curated historical trauma.

  • Poverty is stigmatized, not solved, creating shame cycles.

Example: In many African cities, a person is judged by the brand of clothes they wear more than their character or intellect.

Scripture Anchor: God does not show favoritism Romans 2:11

Psycho-Neuro Consequences

  • People self-censor, shrink, or overcompensate based on perceived social class.

  • Communities turn on each other due to programmed biases.

  • The Gospel is hindered when identity is based on status, not sonship.

Psychology in Communication: Framing, Censorship & Influence

The Strategy

Modern communication is no longer about truth but about framing perception. Whether through media, politics, or even sermons:

  • Messages are crafted to trigger emotions, not provoke thought.

  • Censorship is rationalized by labeling dissent as hate, fake, dangerous.

  • Keywords and slogans are repeated to implant subconscious beliefs.

Example: Terms like love is love, my truth, and safe spaces are used to shut down biblical positions.

Scripture Anchor: Let your yes be yes and your no be no. Matthew 5:37

Neurological Warfare

  • Repetition wires the brain to accept slogans as facts.

  • Outrage culture activates the amygdala, suppressing logic.

  • Emotional overload silences deep reasoning and spiritual discernment.

Psychology in Finance & Economic Systems: Manufactured Scarcity

The Strategy

Global financial systems use psychological levers like:

  • Scarcity (fear of missing out).

  • Urgency (limited-time offers, inflation panic).

  • Status (luxury branding).

  • Dependency (debt as a lifestyle).

Example: Microloan apps in Africa entice the poor with instant cash, but trap them in debt cycles with predatory interest rates.

Scripture Anchor: The borrower is a slave to the lender. Proverbs 22:7

Psychological Control

  • People spend emotionally, not logically.

  • Generational wealth is stifled by perpetual reactionary living.

  • Economic dependency breeds spiritual passivity, survival mode replaces purpose.

  • Biblical principles of wealth like giving have been trashed and believers are brainwashed to believe they are giving to enrich the pastor, this is a global agenda to have a poor church with no economic voice or muscles, and vulnerable to economic control.

For wisdom is a defense, and money is a defense, but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it. Ecclesiastes 7:12, KJV

The End-Time Church Must Be Neuro-Literate

The spirit of the antichrist is subtle, it doesn't always scream rebellion, and sometimes it whispers compliance. We are living in an era where science, marketing, education, entertainment, technology, and even religion are all being shaped by psychological warfare.

The end-time Church must become neuro-literate, spirit-led, and system-aware.

The enemy no longer needs guns and chains, he uses screens, syllabi, shopping carts, and sermons. He is rewiring humanity through invisible cords of psychology and neurology, but we are not without hope.

God is raising a remnant that understands both the science of the mind and the truth of the Spirit. These are the Daniels, Josephs, and Esthers of our time, strategic thinkers who discern systems and carry solutions.

Scripture Anchor: Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5

Today's world is rapidly advancing toward a future where technology promises to "perfect" humanity, neural implants to boost intelligence, gene editing to eliminate flaws, and virtual realities to escape pain. But beneath these promises lies a deeper agenda: to redefine what it means to be human, without God. The ultimate goal is to offer a man-made version of being born again, not through the Spirit, but through science and control. But no machine can cleanse sin, no implant can restore your soul, and no upgrade can give eternal life. True rebirth doesn't come from merging with artificial intelligence, it comes from encountering the living Christ. Jesus said, You must be born again (John 3:3), not reprogrammed, not enhanced, but reborn from above.

If you're reading this and you know in your heart that no technology, success, or system can fill the emptiness inside you, this is your moment. It's not too late. Jesus Christ is ready to give you a new heart, a renewed mind, and an eternal purpose. Pray this from your heart:

Lord Jesus, I recognize that I need You. I've tried to live life on my own terms, and it hasn't worked. I believe You died for my sins and rose again to give me eternal life. I confess You now as my Lord and Saviour. Come into my heart, renew my mind, and help me walk in truth from today forward. I am Yours. Amen.

If you just prayed that prayer, welcome to the family of God! You are now born again, not by technology, but by the Spirit of the Living God. Your next step is to find a Bible-teaching, Spirit-led church near you where you can grow, be discipled, and walk in your new identity. If you don't know where to begin, reach out to us. We would love to help you take your next steps.
